Problems putting saving images to the remote folder CS5.5

I have been using DW to Get, Edit, and Put files to my Remote files for several years. I recently encountered a problem for which I cannot find an answer. FTP connection seems to be working well. All settings are correct (have not been changed). When I select a file from the
Remote Server the complete file opens and after I complete the editing and seek to put it back to the Remote Server I get an error message saying that I do not have privileges to access the file. I discovered through trial and error that if I do not select the box indicating that I want to include dependent files, all other editing appears in the remote file and shows in the browser. I have multiple images on the website and never have had a problem before. Why would text, formatting, etc. go through but images cannot be uploaded?

Do you have enough available space on your remote server?

If not, the files will not upload.

You may need to do some house cleaning to free up space.
