Problems with Extension Manager in CS3

New Here ,

Hi, guys--

I am trying to install a Dreamweaver CS3 extension that will enable me to put a Flash photo album on my Web site. Every time I try to go to Help>Dreamweaver Extensions, an error box pops up, saying that there is no help file and to reinstall. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but to no avail.

Further, I am unable to locate the Adobe Extension Manager program anywhere on my computer. I downloaded the .exe file from the Adobe site, thinking that I could simply install it that way, but every time I try to launch that installation program, it says that I already have it on my computer (but I don't).

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Or even better, is there a good way to make a professional-looking photo album in CS3 (I'm trying to put a portfolio up on my Web site) without installing extensions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

IN case you didn't type menu name correctly, the help menu item should be called Manage Extensions to bring up Extension Manager, not "Dreamweaver Extensions".

Not sure what's going on as I've not seen this issue before. However, if you have the MXP file downloaded already, if you double click on it then it should automatically open in Extension Manager if it is installed.

Extension Manager for the CS3 suite when installed should be found here assuming a default install:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager\Extension Manager.exe

If it's not there, then you may need to uninstall all programs that use it, which include Flash, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver. So if you have those in your CS3 install then uninstalling only one of them may not remove Extensions Manager.

Since you mentioned a Flash photo album, I've seen some folks recommend this Flash photo album:
