Re-installing Dreamweaver - will it blow away your current settings?

I may have to reinstall DW CS6. If I do, will it overwrite everything I have locally on my laptop? If so, I suppose I could download everything from the remote server, but it would be so time-consuming. Perhaps DW would "find" where I have all my files stored on my hard drive and pull them all in after the new install?

Re-installing will only affect the program files; it will not affect the data files.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

As pointed out, it will not do anything with your site files.  However, if you use the CC Cleaner it could remove your site definitions so it's always a good idea to backup the site definitions first.

Before reinstalling, did you try Restoring Preferences?  That fixes most problems.

It's always good to export Site definition settings to STE files and have them where you can easily find them again.

If your computer supports CS6, after installing you can import the STE files to recover your server's log-in credentials.   NOTE:  CS6 has never been tested on Win11.

Hope that helps.
