record error

I get an error when trying to create a record set. This happens even in a new plain vanilla ASP-VB file but not in a JS file. I need to devlope in the VB environment. The error is:
While executing applyServerBehavior in Recordset.htm, a JavaScript error occurred.

This is not a helpful message - any clues on where I should start?

I found that in my case this was a bad file in my Dreamweaver App.

When I reinstalled the program the error went away.
