Basic Search and Replace functionality and a huge part of my productivity is broken in the latest version of dreamweaver. You simply can't specify the scope of the search. Can't specify if it's just this document, open documents or All documents within a folder or selected documents. You also can't specify whether you're search and replacing text or Source code and you can't specify case sensitivity. It's basically completely useless now? Did someone hit themselves in the head with a hammer when they were addressing this functionality for this update?
This functionality did NOT need to be "improved" it was perfect previously. This needs to be a popup window so we can copy and paste code in from different documents as that is sometimes necessary for large scope search and replaces.
Is it just me or is Adobe constantly breaking their own programs? Also let us access old workable stable versions of your software because often these latest versions break core functionality that we rely on.

what you are looking for still exists in Dreamweaver, for some versions already, you can access it using the shortcut Ctrl shift F on Windows or Cmd shift F if you are on Mac
the menu is also accessible from Search in files.
..
A new pop up window will then show you all the search locations you mentioned (open documents, all files, selected files, etc...).... the selected text should also be copy / pasted in the search area...
Now, if you want to filter your search, you have to use the icon that looks like a funnel. A drop down menu will offer you all the choices you mention, related to case, regular expression, text or code, etc...

In 2017, Dreamweaver's interface, menus and code engine were rebuilt from ground up. And the new panels are nothing like legacy Creative Suite. There's no possible way to go back to the way things were 10 years ago.
Ctrl+F = Find in Current Document.
Ctrl+Shift+F = Find & Replace in files.
If you need more help, post back with details about what you're trying to do.
