Setting home page

Hi there I just published my website (primaltheatre.com) and the homepage instead of displaying my index.html file it's displaying a blank page with the message "Welcome to your new website", and only when I enter primaltheatre.com/index.html does it show the page I intended as the homepage. Does anybody have any idea how to make my index.html page as the homepage?

This is a server problem.  Contact your web host.   The default home page should be (lowercase)  index.html or index.htm or index.php, etc...  If it's not working as it should, your host has not configured your server correctly.

would you please turn off this flackering background image, in it's psychedelic manner it is a great harm for my eyes.
