Setting up a form/system to buy a CD with CC/Debit Card. ??

Looking at selling some of my CD's online.

I've applied for a merchant account with my bank. Curious how i set up a form, does anyone do it cheap around here? Is there any programs i can purchase that set it up for you?

Basically want it so they can enter there CC details and order a CD.

You can go through all that if you want - merchant account, site certificate, gateway account, secure forms, etc etc. It's quite involved and IMO not worth the trouble or expense unless you plan on selling lots of merchandise.

An option is si locate one of several online music services that offer artist profiles, Cd and digital music sales, merch sales and all the CC processing that goes with it. You can cusomize your profile page to look like your own site, link to it from your site. Some of these sites are free, some not.

So I know that didn't directly answer your question, but perhaps you may consider it as an alternate solution.

Heya,

Setting up a form is pretty simple. Just go to Dreamweaver Insert menu and select form then insert form input fields from the Dreamweaver Insert menu. You would need a payment gateway service to receive the form post information, process and either accept or deny the transaction, then transfer the funds to your merchant account. You'd also want to setup a secure server to make sure that the information that is sent from your order form is secure.

Another suggestion instead of learning code or using CDBaby, etc. is to make a PayPal button for your CD and place the PayPal button on your site.
