I've using Win10. I think the DW app is installed - I updated it yesterday. I'm signed into CC. I didn't have trouble opening DW last week. I've tried clicking on my Shortcut and, on the exe file in WinEx, and on the site's index file. Nothing seems to open the program. When I click on the Shortcut in Programs, I get a quick "explosion," then nothing happens. Suggestions?

I would try clearing the program cache and restoring preferences first...
Deleting a corrupted cache file
Unusual behavior in Dreamweaver? Try restoring preferences.
If neither of those work, I'd use the Cleaner Tool and reinstall...
Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Hi,
Please try below suggestion and see if it helps resolving the issue:

This solution helped once, but problem returned.
I also tried running as administrator, but that didn't work.
One time that I tried the solution above, I clicked on "log out" in CC and nothing happened. It seems to be an issue with the CC app manager.
Dreamweaver CC 2018 just won't launch. In Task Manager, there is a background process for each time I try to launch Dreamweaver. I also have CS6, and THAT will not launch now either.
This is a total productivity killer! Please help. Windows 10.

wow Nancy, that fixed it! It was solution number 5 from your link. Deleting the OOBE folder.
I think that makes 3 times you've come to my rescue over the years. Thanks!

Shoot, the problem has returned. Deleting the OOBE folder only fixes it once. Subsequently, I still can't open Dreamweaver. I guess I will have to open a support ticket.
Thank you

Hi BC,
Did you try to add Dreamweaver at startup programs ?
Using Autoruns from sysinternal, I added full path of Dreamweaver.exe to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(just want to see if I'm not alone... eh. I also heard about a possible Java problem ? Is Dreamweaver using it ?)

I've tried everything. I uninstalled and installed lower versions and other programs. used the CC uninstaller. Used the Cleaner tool. Nothing opens. Not from program icons and not from the CC interface.
This seems like an issue with the CC app itself.
I've lost two days of work now. Please help.

Hello,
I have the same issue, Dreamweaver won't launch.
The process is running, and it adds more than one process if we launch more Dreamweaver.exe :
But nothing happen.
The only method I found is to add Dreamweaver to startup programs.
Restart computer and Dreamweaver starts.
Works for me.

Hi,
Can you try running your system in clean-boot mode and launch Dreamweaver.
Steps to reboot in clean mode :https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
In case the issue still persist, please go to event viewer, select Windows logs and share a screenshot.

Akshay

After trying everything, installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, cleaning etc. and having a sleepless night, this was the only solution that helped. Another program is likely to prevent Dreamweaver from starting, and when I perform a clean boot it works. Thanks.

If you have the same problem as in the original post, this has been answered as solved. If you still have a problem, then it may not be the same as the OP's and it is better to start a new discussion explaining what the problem is.
