simple site migration

New Here ,
May 15, 2008 May 15, 2008
So i have a site that was developed in asp and was trying to move it to my hosting with comcast from my old hosting company. the problem is that after i copied all the files from there servers and then uploaded them to comcast i can not access some of the pages. i just found out that the site was developed in asp. so i have no idea what i am doing and comcast only has mysql database services no windows sqlserver. oh and apparently my database is an excel file and i have no idea what to do with it.

thanks a bunch one stumped site owner.

You aren't just stumped, you're hosed. If your host doesn't support
ASP/VBScript then you will either have to a) rehost the site on a server
that does support it, or b) recode the site to use something that your host
does support.

At the least, you would have to recast your data from an Excel spreadsheet
into a MySQL database. What scripting language does your host server
support? If it's not ASP/VBScript then you are really a dead duck.
