Site is created, but it shows no local files on the sidebar to upload to FTP

My site is created, but it shows no local files on the sidebar to upload to FTP, is there something im missing or a step I have to do?

Thanks for writing to us. Can you please confirm if you have files available in the selected site's local root folder locally on the machine. You can try restarting Dreamweaver and click on Refresh button in Files panel to see the files available locally. Please let us know the behavior else we will further investigate the same.

Is the volume on C: drive read and writable from your computer user profile?

From Windows File Explorer do you see any site files in that folder?

you say you have created a site, but have you uploaded any files in the local area? have you created any files and saved them in your site? have you ever viewed those files from this site?
can you access these files from your system explorer ?
