Spry Menu not working in IE

Guest

I am trying to use a spry vertical menu, and it is working perfectly on a Mac and in Firefox on a PC. I am having a couple problems with IE, however. The popup menus are showing up underneath my content. Also, there is a 3 pixel margin between each button. This should be transparent, as it is in Firefox. In IE, however, this shows up as a white background.

Is there any way to fix these, especially the popup menus?

Thanks

Here is the page I am trying to use it on.

Yes, that was my first idea as well. Unfortunately it did not help...

Put a background image in the css for a.hover tag which is 128 wide by 60 deep.
Its a bit bigger than the standard tab and nicely fills the gap.
