I've been working with the spry horizontal menu and its been pretty frustrating. I've been defining the text, background color, text color, etc for the menu but when I save and preview in browser its the same default gray and blue. Really annoying. After that I looked around for menu extensions and these seem to be much better (I'm used to working with menumachine on golive which I realize I took for granted).

My Questions are : is spry really that much of a pain in the ass and do you ahve any recommendations for getting around my problems with it? and do you recommend any menu extensions for dreamweaver cs3 (specifically ones that allow multicolored menus like I have here - cdstudies.com.

Thanks a lot

I have also found the spry extensions to be somewhat limiting or at least hard to manipulate. I don't understand why your having problems with styling the menus because that part has been very easy. I would check again to make sure that you are styling it correctly because that is never a problem. As for making a menu without spry, my friend informed me of http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ Which has a whole bunch of free menus and links that are very easy to jump into and edit in any concievable fashion.
