Storing Dreamweaver Files on Creative Cloud

New Here ,
Jan 27, 2017 Jan 27, 2017

Hi there,

I have a question. I would like to save my Dreamweaver site in a folder located on the cloud (Creative Cloud). Problem is that if I want to access that file from another computer, the root folder is broken because is not the same path. Is there a way where I can save the site on the cloud and access it anywhere else, say like I do when working with a Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator file?

Many Thanks!

You can get the files using another computer simply by logging into your CC account using a browser.

You cannot work directly with the files stored in CC though, as you would require Dw to be installed on the computer and registered to your account.

Hi pziecina,

Thanks for your answer. But I'm talking about an scenario where I do have 2 different computers registered with CC, if in computer A I start a website, and map the root folder to CC Cloud, when I go to computer B and try to access the file, I get a problem because the path to the root folder is not the same.

That problem does not exist, as an example, in PS, as I can open a PSD file on any of the two computers.

Thanks!

Don't map your site folder to the cloud. It will sooner or later cause performance problems.

With Dw you will have to copy your file to the CC storage, from the 1st computer, then copy them from the CC storage to your second computer in order to work on them. Dw will sync assets such as Ps files from CC to Dw.

They are working on github integration in Dw, but I don't know when it will actually arrive in a release. They have removed svn from DW as it was deemed that not enough users use it.
