Templates - DW 2017

Did something change with templates in DW 2017?  The template I have used for years has editable and noneditable areas. Now, when I create a document from the template everything is editable and there are no template notations in the code. Nor are their specifically-editable regions visibly outlined in Design View.

I just did a quick test.  File > New > page from Site Template (pick the DWT file)  > Create.  

Child page looks fine to  me in CC 2017 on Win10 -- Code, Live and Design view.  

Since I can't re-produce your problem at my end, something must be different at your end.

Check your DWT file for code errors.
