Is it possible to pass url parameters to a page and have layers either show or hide based on the value of a url parameter?

Sure. You would need to use custom javascript or server scripting to
accomplish it, though.

I use Dreamweaver because I'm not very familiar with scripting languages... Can you help to provide an example of how to do this or point me to where I find more information?

Thanks,
Greg
