view settings

workspace seems not to store my view settings anymore

is very annoying to do this every day again I start DW
* closing all opened files (from the day before)
* re-open one of them
* set view to 'split' and 'code: Entwurf (Draw in English?)'
so that this and all subsequently opened files in DW are displayed in this desired way.

My workspace(? Fenster . Arbeitsbereichlayout) stored and re-used such settings. When and why this stopped idk, or if I did sth wrong.


Any help's appreciated 🙂

once your workspace is correctly displaying stuffs, did you try to see what's happening on the sync side ?

since I use DW only on one computer, and project(file)s without Adobe Cloud, me is not familiar with the 'sync side'.
The settings sync I've learned in the hard way to execute before I allow adobe to update dreamweaver.

in view of what you tell me, it might be interesting to make sure that the synchronization settings are not such that they retrieve a workspace that is not appropriate for your expectations.

This sounds like a permissions issue from my experience. If the restore permissions suggested is not working this could be a deeper issue in your OS User account. In that case I would recommend trying another user account on your computer to see if the same issue persists. If it does not you might need to consider migrating to a new user account on your machine.

What I observed is my view settings reappeear well if I only stop and the restart again dw.
If then the issue occurs the next day, and NOT always. After a windows logout / login I assume

Which operating system do you have?

Did you try switching to a new workspace?
