Weird ODBC error on submission of update script

I have a an update page in my app. and i can submit it okay. If however, I got to re-edit the record I get this error. Can anyone help?

"[ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The search key was not found in any record."

When you reedit are you passing the same information across to the page as
you did the first time. This is especially important if you are using a form
as these values will no longer exist on a second call of a page
