Weird Scroll Issue Amongst Files Viewed in DW2017

Explorer ,
Mar 30, 2017 Mar 30, 2017

I have a page that shows the linked assets horizontally across. Like this:

[Source Code]     [something.js]     [something.css]     [somethingelse.css]     [another.js]

The problem is (code view for all):

If I scroll (mouse scroll wheel) to a certain point in the code on Source Code, make some edits, then click over to a CSS file and scroll to edit there...when I go back to Source Code I'm not at the same point I was before...where my last edit was. This happens on all pages - I'm always losing my place and I have to search to where I left, which can be maddening with thousands of lines of code.

Anyone else experience this? It's like files are being scrolled as I scroll on other files? Is there a setting I missed? Is this a bug?

Thanks!

Windows 7, DW2017 build 9346

Also: if I double click on something on one file so it is highlighted, then go to another for edits, then go back...it will remember where I was when I go back. But that's a pain in the you-know-what to be double clicking something before heading to another file.

This is a known problem, and has been reported as a bug, the problem of the cursor moving when one switches between documents, also ocures when moving from code view to live view, then back to code, and is an annoyance for a number of users.

Sorry but except for the above, i have no further info regarding if or when this will be fixed.

I tried looking for a similar bug here Knowledge Base – Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Feature Ideas  but couldn't find it.

You can create your own bug using this link Adobe Dreamweaver: Bugs: Hot (413 ideas) – Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Feature Ideas

In the current version, DWCC 2017.5 Build 9878, under Windows 7, if I work on a related file as you describe (click the related file name in the bar, make an edit toit, switch to the parent file's source, edit, and go back to the related file), the cursor is right where I left it on the previous edit.

Are you using the latest version?

Try turning off Live View and stay on Design View (document toolbar).   It makes a difference because Live refreshes your screen and moves the cursor to the top each time you make edits.  Design View doesn't do that.

See screenshot.

Apparently I didn't get any notifications that anyone even responded to this question - sorry! I might not have a setting correctly set in my profile.

I don't use Design View or Live View at all - I only work in Code View...
