Why can't I use my copy of Dreamweaver.

I bought Dreamweaver CC3 some years ago and assumed it was therefore my property. Now I'm being given a few days left to use the program. Why?  I have provided several Reference numbers to activate - to prove it is mine, but still I'm being told it will not work in a few days time. I'm also told that if I am connected to the Internet, activation is automatic.

What do I do to continue using my purchased copy of Dreamweaver. This situation seems very unfair and possibly illegal.

Terribly sorry for the damage you suffered because of flooding. Like Nancy said, the serial number should be available in your accounts section if you registered your product with Adobe.

If you did not, I suggest contacting Adobe Customer Care contact-bumper to see if they have any alternative solutions for you.

Thanks,

Where did you purchase your copy of Creative Suite 3?

Which operating system are you on?

Can you show us a screenshot of the message you're seeing?

Sounds like your software has reverted to trial mode.

Hi Nancy,

I bought my copy some time ago and I guess it was bought direct from

you. I still have the plastic disk container but the original reference

number on it is now getting faded having been through a flood, however

you have given me 2 new numbers  [serial numbers removed by forum moderator.]

A few years ago my house was completely flooded and I ask for your help, and you kindly obliged

with a downloaded copy.

I am using Windows 10 (latest version).

Attached is the message I'm getting. I have also had another message

stating that if connected to the Internet Dreamweaver doesn't need to be

re-activated.

I hope you can help. Although I make good use of Dreamweaver, it's not

enough to make a monthly payment, and it goes against the grain having

bought a copy, albeit some time ago.

Thanks, Regards

John Sumner

Just to help clarify things.

1) I don't work for Adobe.  I'm a product user just like you and this is a public user-to-user forum not Adobe support.

2) Creative Suite 3 came out long before Win10.   It's way beyond its sell-by date and thus not certified to run on Win10.  You can try loading it but I can't guarantee it will work as expected.

3) Adobe no longer supports CS3 so Customer Support can do nothing.

4) I'm not sure CS3 Activation Servers are up & running anymore.

5) If you registered your software, Adobe might have a record of your serial numbers on file.  Log-on to https://accounts.adobe.com/

PS.  I'm really sorry about your flood.  That sucks big time.
