I'm coming from CS3 where I was used to seeing the files on the right to 2020 where they are now on the left. I've really tried to get used to the files being on the left, but still haven't. Is there some sort of setting that I can make it be on the right, and see the work space to the left?

Which workspace are you using currently (Developer or Standard)?  You can dock and undock panels to create your custom workspace and then save it.  HINT:  Some people use different custom workspaces for different projects.
