I am currently running Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac and considering upgrading to CC. I have a lot of work in Classic ASP VB does anyone know if this is likely to be a problem after the upgrade?

For your situation, you have the better program already.

DWCC has no real support for ASP.net.

These days, I think you will be hard pressed to find full support for classic ASP from any modern code editor.  That goes for Microsoft's own Visual Studio, too.   As Jon said, stay where you are.  And whatever you do, DO NOT UPGRADE to Catalina.  Doing so will make it impossible to run 32-bit apps like Creative Suite.

Thanks Jon and Nancy, I was rather coming to that conclusion myself. Very strange outcome from what was once the leading web authoring suite, sad times!

I was frustrated with the lack of classic ASP or ASP.net support in the new Dreamweaver. But now I have found and FTP program called Forklift and the Sublime Text editor -which has marvelous classic ASP support.  I am regretting my annual Dreamweaver Creative Cloud purchase.  Note that I am use Macs for my web editing.

You are better off with https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/mac/

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.
