Dreamweaver is becoming impossible to use well, it is lagging incredibly when writing and editing html. I have a lot of work to do, and I'm getting more and more frustrated, when will this be fixed. I see others are having similar problems.

Hi

We are investigating this issue at our end, meanwhile as a workaround can you perform below steps and see if the issue is resolved.

  1. close DW
  2. Go to Registry key press win +R -> type regedit
  3. go to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver 2020\Temp File List\
  4. delete theTemp File List folder and restart Dreamweaver (before deleting the folder first take backup of the folder, right click on it and select export)

Thanks

Thanks, that didn't help unfortunately, I'm already in standard mode, switching to developer mode didn't help, either did switching back.

Same here. I was ALREADY working in standard mode.  Since updating to 20.2, it now takes me over 49 seconds to open a 164k css file. And the same amount of time to save it.  Yet, I can open the same file in every other system/application i  use in under ONE SECOND.  No exageration. What gives?

I stopped using DW yesterday, as it has become a hindrance to productivity.  Did you hear that adobe? your software is now preventing me from being efficient.. not the other way around.

Standard view is just as slow as developer view.  Switching views didn't help...  switching SOFTWARE did.  😞

Could you please share more information with us to investigate the issue.

1) Does the issue occur for a specific file type or with all files

2) Can you share one file where issue is reproducible.

3) Can you try clearing Dreamweaver Preferences and see if it works

4) What is the OS you are using
