When I try to install emmet.zxp on my old Mac running CS6, using Extension Manager CS6 version 6.0.8.28, I get the following error message: The extension "Emmet" does not contain valid signature. The extension will not be installed.
I have tried installing from Ext. Mgr directly and from within Dreamweaver. No luck. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Where did you find that extension? If it's not signed, you cannot install it.
DW CC has Emmet alreacdy included. No extension needed.

Hi Nancy
I downloaded it from GitHub.
I am not using CC. I want to stick with CS6.
Apparently some people have gotten it to install as of 2015.
Thanks

I found these:
Maybe if you try a 3rd party Extension Manager. As I recall CS6's EM was very flakey. When CC came out, I got rid of it and switched to this one from DMX Zone. It's free.

Both links end up at GitHub, where I originally downloaded Emmet.zxp. Left a request for help with the author, but haven't heard back.
I also tried the DMX Zone extension manager, but it doesn't work with OS lower than 10.9.
So I guess no Emmet 😞

yeah, I have pretty much given up hope with DW. Will give Brackets a try. That is also an Adobe product, i take it.

+1 Ben. I was going to suggest the same. DW is still a great site management tool and I continue to use it alongside other tools and extensions when I need them.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that Adobe ended its extremely generous deal to teachers on the CC subscription. But I refuse to pay, so now I am looking at other options. Good thing I still have CS6, although it is showing its age a little.
BTW, what does ACP stand for?

ACP = Adobe Community Professional. A product expert who does not work for Adobe.
