Is the alleged jitter caused by the browser's vertical scrollbar displaying on long pages but not on short pages?

That's normal and expected. 

If it really bothers you, add some CSS code to force the vertical scrollbar to display on all pages.

That site has a lot of animation to be sure.  But I see no jitter on my desktop Firefox or Chrome with latest updates and fiber optics Internet connection.

Hello, Nancy once again thank you I found a fix. using the following chrome://flags/#smooth-scrolling

I disable the function in chrome flags and now it scrolls smooth
