help with dropdown menu

This new update makes this MUCH harder; can someone tell me why "Year 16" drop down does not work, while all the other ones do? I would be most grateful!

It's really BASIC stuff - I'm just a busy mom who does not have time to learn the intricacies of code, just trying to post photos of my kid each month. Used to be no problem, but these last few updates are killing me.

The issue is at the end of your javascript. Basically you have entries for each of your menus. You can simply copy one of the last lines like I have below and replace "tilonav15" with the ID from your new menu which appears to be "MenuBar16".

For your situation though, unfortunately you are going to have to keep going into the code to maintain this as Spry was discontinued by Adobe many years ago. It may be easier for future maintenance to look at migrating your site to a content management system (CMS), whether hosted by a third party or whether you find hosting and maintain it yourself.

Hi Ben, thank you so much for your help: I added that line of code at the end:

and unfortunately it still does not work. Do I need to add anything else?

Browsers are making rapid changes all the time and your site is sort of locked in a time capsule of how things were done 20 years ago. I would move the text and images to another platform like WordPress, Squarespace or Adobe Portfolio (free site builder & hosting with qualifying Creative cloud plans). I have been adding a page to this website for every month of my chidrens' lives.

They are 10 and 16 years old now.

Just do the math.

That's a lot of pages.

I do NOT want to "just convert everything to the latest blablabla" because... guess what?

In 6 months there will be a new software package that will wipe out everything!

Again.

So.

I am busy.

I work full time by day.

I am doing an MBA at night.

I also have two kids.

I do not have the time nor the desire to "start over again with a new system" and convert 120 (daughter) plus 192 (son) pages of HTML.

I am fine with being "old school", "obsolete", "dinosaur", whatever.

I just want to figure out a workaround and be done with this so I can get some sleep.

Can you help me, Nancy?

All I need is one or two lines of code to make this sh*&t work.

So my mother can stop pestering me about "when those pages will be ready".

You feel my pain?

The average website has a shelf-life of 5 years. Eventually, your site will start to fail if you don't modernize it. Meanwhile, follow the advice given by Ben_M.

so sorry, that fix didn't work, and also when I make it case sensitive, as follows:

Any other suggestions??

In further review there was a typo just before it. Look for this line:

var MenuBar3 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar3

Then remove the "3" after the "Spry.Widget.MenuBar". That is causing a javascript error to an unknown function which is preventing the script from running after that point.
