missing field that identifies problems in the code with Dreamweaver 21.0 for Mac

Until recently, I've had a field below the code field in Dreamweaver that identified problems in the code, such as extra or missing </p>. It has disappeared, and I can't figure out how to get it back. Any ideas? It's Dreamweaver 21.0 for Mac

Go to Preferences > Linting.  Is Linting enabled?

Code Errors won't display on the until it has a file with errors, which should show on your Output Panel:
