Need download link to Dreamweaver CS5.5

I bought a Dreamweaver CS5.5 licence in 2011 (yes I know, but if it works, it works). Upon my purchase, the confirmation email clearly stated: "You can log back into 'Your Account' in the future to re-download your product or retrieve your serial number."

When I access my account, I see the serial numbers of my products, but I can no longer download them. Now, that my backup has died, I'm left without a copy of the software in case of a full crash.

I paid my licence, I was told I could download it in the future. Support directs me here for help.

Anybody know where can I find a SAFE and LEGAL download link to Dreamweaver CS5.5?

Sadly, no.  And Adobe support should have told you the truth instead of sending you here.   Creative Suite is discontinued & unsupported.  Adobe took down all links to old installers and many of the updates as well.  Without an installer, your serial number is useless.  Unfortunately that's the risk you take with discontinued software.  Here today, gone tomorrow.

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away!  Creative Suite is not legally available from any vendor, retailer or country.

Thanks for this Nancy.

As a matter of fact, I received a private email right after your message from a certain Chris Kaminski from "Team Adobe" inviting me to "Directly send Email to our Adobe Customer Care Team at Email Address:- Care.Adobe@Outlook.com and they will help you via Email."

At first, I wondered why that person didn't reply on the Support Community board so that everybody could benefit from the answer. Then I looked at the email address... Why on earth would any legitimate Adobe representative use an Outlook.com email address? LOL...

Still, I will admit I feel cheated. Adobe shouldn't lock its clients out like that. It's bad for business.

All that's left for me is to ask my personal developer Network to see if anybody has an old copy lying around. If that fails, I guess I could try https://discountoemsoftware.com/

I'll be damned if I give Adobe my money again.

"I'll be damned if I give Adobe my money again."

I understand how you feel but I'm afraid that attitude is exactly what scammers & pirates count on.  They target former Creative Cloud users because you are emotionally driven and very easy prey.

Every product has an end of life date after which it cannot be legally sold or distributed.  Creative Suite is end of life.   So unless you purchase current software directly from the maker or an officially certified reseller, you have NO IDEA what you're getting.  Most of the time it's malware infected junk that doesn't work as promised and puts you and your computer at risk.  That's too much drama for the prospect of getting what... unsupported software that's 8+ years out of date?  No thanks.  I'll use a free code editor (Brackets or VS Code) first.

Goodbye & best of luck to you!

PS: If you don't believe me, see this discussion from last week.  We see a hundred more like it here every few months.

eBay seller assured me that the Lightroom 6 DVD he was selling me was authentic, never used, and had....
