Hi Dusan,

Thank you for reporting this. To help you on this we would need some more information like below:

1. Which version of DW are you using?

2. Which platform (Windows or Mac) and version?

3. Could you launch Properties inspector from windows menu and then see if right click > source file works for you?

Let us know so that we can further dig deeper into this.

Thanks,

Lalita

Hello lnayal,

We are currently using the latest version on windows 10.

It seems that straight after doing what you said, going to window, properties and then changing the source file there works!

and now when i right click on the same place holder and select source file. the windows popup search finally comes up now!

so strange!

If i have any more issues regarding the source files, ill let you know

THANK-YOU so much lnayal!

and to everyone else that has contributed to help solve this annoying little issue.

very much appreciated

Thanks a bunch Dusan for confirming.

Meanwhile we have logged a bug that changing source file via context menu doesn't work if Properties inspector is not visible.

In order for DW to manage assets & links, you need to define a Local Site folder for your project.  Go to Site > New Site and choose or create a folder on your hard drive.  Example, C:\MyTestSite\

Your Files Panel (F8) should resemble this screenshot.

CC-StarterPageAssets.jpg

In Design or Split View, select your placeholder image, use Ctrl+F3 to bring up the HTML Properties Panel.
