Do you still need to keep a current subscription of Dreamweaver CS6, when you upload the website to a server host? Or can you upload the website and then later ask for a refunded subscription?

CS6 is legacy software that is not part of the Creative Cloud subscription plan. Adobe removed CS6 and legacy CC versions from the desktop app in May this year. If you have Creative Suite on a perpetual license, you don't need a subscription to Creative Cloud to use it. However if you only have a Creative Cloud subscription, you need to keep paying to use it

So which version of DW do you have? You'll find it under the Help menu > About Dreamweaver.
If you no longer have access to the software, you can check your account's status by logging-in at the link below.

You can use cyberduck better I think! I know Filezilla is a popular free ftp client but there are plenty more out there! If you use coda you can also upload directly.
