I downloaded AAMEE 2.1 to configure a CS 5.5 deployment. I was able to get it configured and deployed no problem. I want to run it again to make a change to my deployment, but AAMEE does not load. No error message or anything. If I try to re-install it, I get a message prompting me that "Other instances of Adobe Application Manager are running, do you want to close". After I say yes, the installer seems to unpack the files (status bar makes it across), then nothing. No error message, nothing. There is a "PDapp.exe *32" service running. If I quite that, I don't get the message to quit AAM, the installer just unpacks, and then quits.
This is driving me crazy. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Ideas?

Thanks, I didn't see this tool on the page. However when I run this I get a Return Code 5, "Adobe products are installed on the system. Please uninstall them first and retry"
Well, yeah no shit! haha. Could it be the uninstaller is for 3.1 and I have 2.1 installed?

Hi yodomino6,
Please navigate to this location and remove Enterprise folder then reinstall AAMEE 2.1.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp
Please let me know if this helps.

I created a new admin account and it does the same thing. Are there logs somewhere I could see what is going on?

Hi I managed to get around this problem by uninstalling every adobe product then manually deleting C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ followed by a reboot. Then AAMEE 2.1 loaded up without a problem.
Bit of a meat cleaver but it worked for me.
PS - Running the Remove AAMEE tool didn't seem to do anything other than at first show me "adobe products are installed (5)" then "AAMEE is not installed or corrupt (3)"
