Acrobat 8 - on Terminal Services - Windows 2000 - need to lower colour palate

We did an install of Acrobat 8 on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server last week that we thought went smoothly. The client however just noticed a problem we didn't - a lot of wierd colors showing up when they review a PDF. As well, the menus have strange colors. Both are subsequently hard/impossible to read. The problem we think is that we are running 8 on a Windows 2000 Terminal Services server and the maximum screen colors available in Terminal Services for clients sessions is 256 which is less than what Acrobat expects. We didn't notice the problem during the installation because we were logged in on the console when we did the install and had more than 256 colors available to us in the console session when we did the testing and satisfied with that we failed to test in an actual Terminal Services session. What steps can we take to get 8 to work with the maximum number of colors available to Windows 2000 Terminal session clients.

Thanks in advance.

I think changing Page Display preferences in Acrobat: Smooth Text under Rendering to NONE should help.
