It’s with great excitement that we announce the general release of Azure Sync with SCIM for Adobe’s enterprise customers!

Originally released in July 2019, the Azure Sync Connector allowed administrators to integrate Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AD) with the Adobe Admin Console to simplify the SSO setup process and user management for Azure Identity users via the Graph API protocol. The latest release, Azure Sync with SCIM, provides four key updates:

  1. Implementation of the SCIM API provisioning protocol for user and group sync, providing privacy measures expected as industry standard.
  2. Separation of federation from user group and syncing, allowing admins to add sync to an existing federated directory.
  3. Add sync to a directory established with any identity provider when the organization manages users via Azure AD.
  4. Support for attribute mapping in Azure AD, allowing admins to map specific AD attributes to Adobe attributes, such as email and username.

Azure Sync with SCIM is available in all enterprise Admin Consoles (ETLA and eVIP) as of Monday, November 9, 2020. Admins can follow instructions here on how to setup and configure Azure Sync with an existing federated directory today!
