Adobe CC packaged installer fails during install

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I have built a new package for Adobe CC 64bit (full package, including all apps) and trying to install it on Windows 10 64bit.

Unfortunately, installers fails every time (link to PDApp.log here).

Number of errors and warnings, only one fatal:

03/01/16 22:29:31:911 | [FATAL] |  | ASU | DeploymentManager | DeploymentManager |  |  | 716 | The return code from the Adobe Installer Process is (26).Stopping the installation process.

03/01/16 22:29:31:911 | [ERROR] |  | ASU | DeploymentManager | DeploymentManager |  |  | 716 | Media Failed (IDSN11.0)

What I've tried: different computers, rebuilding the whole package (including clearing cache) and googled around for the answer - no luck so far.

Any ideas what may be happening??

I ended up excluding InDesign from the package and that fixed the issue. Not ideal, but I can live with no InDesign.

Hi John,

Thanks for the links!

Are you suggesting that I post it in another part of the forum?

I've built Adobe CC packages many times in the past and this is the first time issue like that comes up.

Thanks for all your help!

Error 26 indicates "Some of the payloads cannot be located. Please verify your installer."

Details can be found here.

There are a few possible causes but one stands out "If running from Media – try making a local copy of installer and retry

(disk might not be accessible)"

Hi Alister,

I have seen that page before and here's what I tried:

- recreating the package from scratch (including wiping out cache)

- copying files to a local HDD of the machine and running it with admin privileges

Is "IDSN11.0" one of the programs I could exclude from the package to bypass the error?

Is there any way to install programs manually rather than building the package?

What is in the package?

There are some variations for how you need to install, particularly if older apps such as Acrobat XI or CS6 apps are included in the package.

For some of these you need to use the 'exceptions' workflow. See the script here for an example and our documentation.

For a package with no exceptions and including Acrobat DC I would recommend deploying from the setup.exe. See here.

As a test you could try building a simpler package with maybe one app such as Photoshop.
