Adobe Dreamweaver installer on Windows 10 quits unexpectedly

Install appears to progress, with progress indicator sliding to the right, then suddenly it slides all the way back to left and installer quits.  Can't seem to figure it out.  Tried running from my local admin account or my regular account with escalated privileges.  Neither work.  Gone through and also tried the fix i saw online about the sfc scannow, and that also doesn't help.  I'm about out of answers.

Yes Roberth83657594 the error is still the same.  There must be another cause of the failure to write to the Temp directory.  I would recommend reviewing, and possibly temporarily disabling, any installed security software or utilities that may affect the ability to write to the Temp directory within the local user account.

I had a very similar problem recently installing from the CC Desktop app and it turned out to be something with my office network.

I was told by the off-site network guy there was nothing wrong, but when I attached my computer to my cell phone hotspot, and had one of the gals stand outside the window with my phone (I get no cell signal in the Faraday cage that is "the building" it was truly hilarious), it downloaded using AT&T's network and installed without issue.


Point being, if you're working with the CC Desktop app, you could try from a different network (home, work, coffee shop, cell phone, etc) and see if it makes any difference.

Roberth83657594 I am sorry you are facing difficulties installing Dreamweaver CC 2015 under Windows 10.  Do you receive any specific error messages?

Roberth83657594 I am happy that you were able to locate the log file.  I am sorry but the entire log file will not post.  What specific errors do you locate using the Find command?  You are welcome to post the Errors which you locate within the log file.

Roberth83657594 are you reviewing the PDApp.log?  Do you find any errors in the Dreamweaver installation log?  For Windows 10 the location is \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers.

I don't believe the installer is proceeding enough.  the /Installers directory is not created.

Thank you for the update Roberth83657594.  Can you please post the exact error you are receiving within the most recent installation in the PDApp.log?  Each time you attempt the installation the file will be appended too.  The most recent errors will be at the end of the file.

If you can copy and paste the error and the surrounding lines it should give me additional context regarding the errors you are receiving.

Roberth83657594 you are correct just pasting the entire log will not work.  You can however post the lines surrounding the relevant errors from the log file.

Roberth83657594 it appears that you current User account is failing to write the Temp directory.  Please create a new local administrator account and then try the installation again.  You can find details on how to set up a new local administrator account for Windows at Adobe troubleshooting: Creating an admin account in Windows​.
