Hi @karmen_4315,

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your message, it appears that you're experiencing an issue where Adobe Acrobat Pro frequently becomes unresponsive and displays a "Not Responding" message. Please confirm if this is the issue you need assistance with.

In the meantime, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem:

  1. Disable Protected Mode
Navigate to Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) and uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup." Restart the application and check if the issue persists.

  2. Update Adobe Acrobat Pro
Ensure you are using the latest version of the software. Go to Help > Check for Updates and install any available updates.

  3. Repair the Installation

    • On Windows: Go to Help > Repair Installation

    • On macOS: You may need to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat using the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
      Reference guide: Troubleshoot Acrobat Crashes

  4. Check the PDF Files
If the issue only occurs with certain PDFs, those files may be corrupted or excessively large. Try opening different files to determine if the issue is file-specific.

  5. Background Services or Software Conflicts
Other applications, particularly antivirus software, may interfere with Acrobat. Try performing a clean boot and test Acrobat in that environment.

  6. Plug-ins or Add-ons
Third-party plug-ins can sometimes cause performance issues. Disable any unnecessary plug-ins and restart the application to test.

  7. Reinstall Acrobat Using the CC Cleaner Tool
If the issue persists, consider uninstalling Acrobat completely using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and then reinstalling it.

Please let us know if you need assistance with any of these steps or if the issue continues after trying them. We're here to help.

Regards,
^AN
