Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition question

I am having a problem with Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition. While configuring the package to install the Design Premium Suite 5.5 I enter the Serial Number and select Distribute updates manually. During the install process it appears that something in the package is looking to the network for information or updates in two places.

The reason I know this is because our Internet filter software is catching this request and asking for a name and password to continure the process. I have the name and password of course but this prevents me from doing an unattended install which is the reason I'm using Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition.

Does anyone know what the package install might be looking for and how to stop it? Thanks for any help!

It's probably looking for Adobe AIR and Flash Player as used by the installer itself. Could be the "newer version of Flash already in place vs. bundled version" issue. Still, unless it prevents your installs from going through, it should not be a problem. Does your test install work?

Mylenium,

Thanks for responding so quickly. After some further research it seems that the Adobe Help application might also be part of the problem. I am testing now to see if I can determine exactly what's causing the problem and eliminating it or make it part of the image as you suggested.

The problem is that the package does not install. Once the name and password window comes up the install stops until someone enters the correct information and this happens twice throughout the installation which is rather lengthy.

If you included Air in your package then it will try and connect to the internet, if you have a proxy server setup then this will cause an error. Please disable Air and deploy after main package has been installed. Updates can also be managed with the RUM tool (please see the Enterprise Deployment Guide for more information) this allows you to remotely initiate the updates and specify proxy server information or can be used with AUSST if you have or would like to have your own internal Adobe Update Server.
