Adobe Reader Deploy in w7 x64 Enterprise

New Here ,
Sep 10, 2013 Sep 10, 2013

We are implementing Windows 7 x64 Enterprise actually we are using Windows 7 x86 Enterprise.

The question is the following we have authorization to install Adobe Reader in 500PCs more/less and we download the exe installer and it installs like x86 platform.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0

Is there any installer that runs in 64bit natively or this is the right installer for 64bit version and it will install always in x86 folder?

Go to http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/.

  • Read the admin guide (AG).
  • Fill out the distribution agreement.
  • Use the AG or release notes to find installers.
  • Install to default or any location.
  • You'll want to use the Customization Wizard to configure the product prior to deployment. Again, get that guide or see the AG.

HTH,

Ben

Hi,

Is there any installer that runs in 64bit natively or this is the right installer for 64bit version and it will install always in x86 folder?

To answer this question, we have Adobe Reader\Acrobat as 32 bit installer. It installs application on 64 bit OS in C:\Program Files (x86) always. but that doesn't affect functionality in any ways.

I hope this helps.
