AUSST Cleanup Filter

New Here ,

I am looking for additional information on how the --filterProducts switch works in AUSST Cleanup. I understand that this is where you need to add SAP Codes to retain. Is there an example script showing how to how the SAP codes should be correctly formatted and added?  What will happen if I run the script without the --filterProducts switch?

I apologize for misunderstanding, however, it was not a recommendation.

Please find the example command below. I used the SAP code of After Effects (AEFT): AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool.exe --root="<absolute location of the download folder>" --incremental --cleanup --filterProducts="AEFT"

You can check the SAP code using the link which I shared earlier. You can use multiple SAP code using comma (,) as well.

You can check our "common use cases" section for the example: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/package/help/update-server-setup-tool.html#Commonusecases

Hello,

Kindly check this help document for more details and the command for cleanup: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/package/help/update-server-setup-tool.html#MaintainingAUSST.

You can find the SAP code of Adobe products here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/package/help/apps-deployed-without-their-base-versions.html.

It will completely clean if you will not use "filterProducts" switch.

Thank you for the information Techburner, however I am confused by your reply about not needing the filterProducts switch because on the Use Adobe Update Server Setup Tool page, in the Maintaining AUSST / Cleanup obsolete products and updates section, it specifically states "Note that, you cannot use the cleanup option without the filterProducts option to clean your server of the obsolete updates."

Is there an example showing how the SAP codes should be correctly formatted and added to the "filterProducts" switch?

How does the Cleanup filter handle Acrobat, since I cannot seem to find a SAP Code for this product?

Thanks
