As a "thank you" to loyal customers paying for subscription for years you get nothing. However new customers who have not yet invested a dime to Adobe's services get 40% off the first year.
I don't think this is fair and makes me feel like you don't value your existing customers and only want to hoard new ones.

That is pretty much how this works. Special offers in continuing pricing for almost all kinds of service are designed to bring in new customers. If they were offered to all customers it is basically a huge price drop - and I don't know what Adobe's shareholders would say about that.
I observe that in some countries and fields this is being banned, which is an interesting development. (Specific example: insurance in the UK).
