Bootstrap Error 50

Explorer ,
Sep 13, 2017 Sep 13, 2017

Troubleshooting suggests stopping all Adobe processes, and renaming PDApp folder.

Both of those I have done, I get the same error.

Anything else?

The root cause here is an inability to back up existing assets. Essentially the 'coresync' functionality which controls the assets sync with the cloud cannot close down.

Please perform the following steps:

  • Reboot the machine
  • Move the following folder to temp. C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\CoreSyncExtension
  • Deploy the package

This issue has been addressed in the current release of Creative Cloud.

To escalate further please open a ticket with the support team.

Check that there is nothing in the package that is not supported on the operating system that you are installing on to. For example, Project Felix will not install on to Windows 7.

Make sure your OS is patched and up to date.

Consider building a fresh package.

Ok, narrowed down to In Design.

The original package had InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop.

I've installed them one by one and inDesign ha the bootstrap issue.

Can we escalate it?

Why does the chat feature never work on the support site, or is it just me?

That worked Alister.

Cheers.

BTW, InDesign never applies 'users' permissions to the program folder, we always have to adjust it afterwards.

Many thanks anyway.
