Bootstrapper Process return code is (42)

Trying to install adobe acrobat DC on an offline windows 7 pc.  I have installed this package several times on win 10 computers on the same network with no errors.  On win 7 it errors on all computers.

Hi markw,

As mentioned above, it seems its an enterprise installation. Try the  troubleshooting steps given in the following forum thread discussing the similar issue:

PDApp.log - The Bootstrapper Process return code is (42).Stopping the installation process

I removed all the adobe applications and ran the cleaner tool.  Then tried to install adobe acrobat DC and got error.  That is from the log file I posted above.  I can install this on an internet facing pc with win 7 with no problems.  Looks like possibly an update or something is missing on my pc that is not online.  It does get updates from our Windows update server.  Is there anyway to find out what is missing?

I'm also getting an error trying to install photoshop on the same pc.    I get the same bootstrapper 42 error

Could you let us know if you have tried the troubleshooting steps given in this forum thread at post#7: PDApp.log - The Bootstrapper Process return code is (42).Stopping the installation process ? If yes, then please contact support using the options given in the thread.

I have.  I've uninstalled everything adobe on the system.   Ran the cleaner and got the same error.

These pc's are not connected to the internet.  How can I updated the certificates without them being connected?
