Can Lightroom 5 be updated automatically?

New Here ,
Feb 17, 2015 Feb 17, 2015

We are using Remote Update Manager to update Adobe CC which seems to run through fine and update a number of products, but does not update Lightroom, we are trying to update from 5.6 to 5.7.1.

I am guessing that this is because Lightroom is similar to Acrobat in that RUM cannot this product.

If this is true is there another way to run an automated update of Lightroom?

Thanks

Hi Jim,

Lightroom 5.6 is supported by remote update manager. Remote Update Manager is meant only for a subsection of Adobe Desktop products. It cannot be used for some native installer applications such as Adobe Edge Code, Edge Reflow, and Gaming SDK. Browser plug-ins such as Flash Player and for Adobe Reader, Acrobat Professional, and Adobe AIR application updates are also not supported.

Thanks,

Ashish
