Can't find "box" for "Show older apps" (Urgently need Prelude features)

Hi!

I am working on a project where I am completely reliant on Preludes manual transcription features/interface, which is not part of Premiere Pros functions (At least not that I kan find). A few months ago, we could go to "preferences" and "show older apps" in creative cloud, but I canĀ“t find that option any longer.

How can I find older apps, Prelude in particular?

All best!

I see that a moderator has moved this to Enterprise & Teams.

If you want to use legacy apps, you need a supporting older computer and OS.  Adobe doesn't retrofit discontinued/unsupported apps to work on newer equipment.  Sorry.

With respect to features in Premiere Pro, you would need to ask the experts in Premiere Pro Community below.

2. for versions cc 2019 and older, use prodesign tools.com*.

3. for versions newer than cc 2019 but older than one previous version, contact adobe support for links.**

* most (but not all) adobe download links are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it may not remain online.

** there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

phone:

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam,

Thank you for your help.

I ended up switching over to a Microsoft computer for this project, where the option "Show older apps" indeed shows up. It does not show up in CC desktop on Macs running the latest OS.

And thank you for the prodesigntools - tip, and for info on contacting adobe!

Older versions of any Adobe program are not compatible with newer macOS. This is courtesy of Apple, who makes newer macOS incompatible. With Windows this may happen too, but at a slower pace.

@Sindre27628753e8rs,

Individual plan members:  Click your Avatar > Preferences > Apps > Show Older Apps.

Teams/Enterprise members:  Contact your IT dept and ask them to create a Prelude package for you.

Thank you for your help!

I use both an individual plan, and work for an enterprise - using their plans. The option "show older apps" does not show up in CC desktop on my private Mac, or on any of the Macs at work after the latest OS update. According to my IT dept, I can not use Prelude or other older adobe apps with the new OS. This is a problem specifically because of Preludes manual transcription feature/interface which is missing from Premiere Pro (As far as I can find). I know there are options, but adobe is deeply rooted in our production workflow. I was provided a "retired" editing computer running windows in order to find the option "Show older apps", and use Prelude for this purpose. I posted this issue in "ideas", titled "Manual transcription feature from Prelude in Premiere Pro". If there is no solution other than switching to a software outside of the adobe system, I would appreciate any up-vote on the issue.

All best, and Merry Christmas!
