Creative Cloud 2017 & Privilege Manager

New Here ,
May 11, 2017 May 11, 2017

Hi there,

I have a user on Creative Cloud Individual license and want to install some apps through the Creative Cloud desktop app. We use Quest Privilege Manager to elevate local admin rights for app installation. I cannot get Creative Cloud to work with Privilege Manager.

I see that Adobe Installer (%Program Files (x86)%\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\ElevationManager) is called when you hit the "Install" button. We have created a rule to elevate the Adobe Installer, but it still want an admin account to install.

Has anyone run into this before?

Hi jlu0ng ,

One needs local admin rights to install/update Creative cloud desktop application.

There is no way around it, either you have to provide admin rights to the user or you need to install the update manually as admin.

Latest download link - Download Creative Cloud desktop app

Hi Rohit,

My privilege management should have elevated local admin rights to Create cloud. Is there a certain process or executable than I need to be aware of?
