Creative Cloud could not Update

I have updated my Creative Cloud Desktop Application Version 5.5. However, when I opened up the Creative Cloud Desktop Application, it still prompts me to update it again. I have updated it more than 2 times and it still prompts me to update again.
Has anyone encountered this issue before?

reset the cc desktop app: make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

and restart your computer.

It can be a permissions issue on your library folder where the pertinent info doesn't stick around. You need to just fix that. And you can also Press this key  Ctrl + Alt + R
