Creative Cloud stuck at 42% - All I want is to sync fonts

I followed the instructions found here:

Creative Cloud gets struck at 42%

Which helps in installing that version of Creative Cloud, but as soon as I open the program/app, it wants to "update" and starts installing the version that is constantly getting stuck at 42% install (Error 205). So no matter what I do, I can't use Creative Cloud, since it wants to update, but can't because it gets stuck.

All I want to do is be able to sync fonts to Photoshop CC 2017. And this is preventing me from doing so

Can I sync fonts in Photoshop without the Creative Cloud app?

try using a different wired connection and don't let your computer sleep during download.

Daniellekd if you are on an office connection then please ask your I.T. department to review https://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/attachments/Creative_Cloud_for_enterprise_Service_Endpoints... which discusses the required server address and ports that are necessary to successfully utilize a Creative Cloud membership.

Discussed with IT, and they had this experience before with several other users in the office back in June.  All server ports and access are open for access to Adobe products

the only way they could fix it was to have Adobe support remote in to solve the issue. I don't want to end up doing this and want to be able to fix this issue without having to do that.
