Encrypted serial key not found

In our enterprise wide deployment we see that in very minimal systems the "ENCRYPTED SERIAL KEY" was not found in registry or in the regid* folder under "programdata". This is not only Acrobat specific but also for CS package.

We found this while doing an internal software compliance audit and the auditor mentioned that even though we have enough licenses we should be able to get the encrypted key to check against the actual deployed key.

We tried to uninstall, reboot the machine and reinstall the software without any success.

Please help me in resolving the issue and Is there any known issue reported on this?

We raised a case using chat but they informed that i will get a call back which did not happen yet. The call log id is 0187833061.

Hi Steve,

No, there is no SWID tag file created in programdata path.

FYI... The application is activated and working fine without any issues.

Hi Steve,

The installation is for each machine.

We copy the installation package to the system local drive and run setup.

We also tried uninstall, reboot the system and install the package.

For CS4, we found log inside ProgramData\flexnet folder with error - EventCode: 30000011 after re-installation.

We searched and found some steps to fix this issue. Will try them and update again.

Which version of Adobe Acrobat are you installing?  Are you installing it as part of the Creative Suite or the Creative Cloud?
