Getting an Access Denied after updating a subscription service

Hello,

 

Got a interesting problem.  I have a user that is using Adobe Creative Cloud.  A while back, he updated his subscription from one E-mail address to another one (company was bought).  He now no longer has access to his old saved files and is giving him a access denied screen.  Apperantly, the account switch was done about a year ago.  Is there any way to get these files back?

As far as I know, cloud storage is tied to the account... so if that account is gone, so are the files

 

As a side note... always have a copy of all files on a local drive

 

I use a Sata docking station and several 'bare' drives for backup
