How can the admin allow end-users to request access to a shared resource?

In addition to the sharing restrictions policies, you can now allow or disallow the users in your organization to request access to a shared artifact. There are two access request policies to choose from:

  • Allow access requests

You can use this default setting to allow users with no permissions to a folder or document to request access to it.

  • No access requests

For added privacy, you can use this setting to prevent users from being able to request access to a document that has not been shared with them.

To choose a restrictive asset setting for your organization:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Asset Settings in the Admin Console.
  2. Choose a Sharing Restrictions Policy and click Confirm.
  3. Choose an Access Request Policy and click Confirm.

For more information, see Asset settings.
