How to remove Creative Cloud after InDesign, Photoshop, etc installation

Hi there,

I hope someone can help as I am sure this is an issue in other managed environments.

We have the subscription based licenses for the entire Adobe CC suite. We use the packager to create individual packages and then use a software distribution platform to install the software on users' computers. Yeah, old school...

The problem is that the Creative Cloud cannot be unchecked during the packaging process. The option is greyed out. I read somewhere that in subscription based license model you cannot uncheck this!!!!??!?!? Which to me is unclear the need for it.

The solution is of course, uninstall this piece of software at the end.

Unfortunately the problem is that there is no way to do this silently and the user is presented with a prompt. We have to do some hacks and run some monitoring scripts that will click OK on the prompt which is simply silly.

Anyone else has this problem?

Regards,

Dimitare

For this kind of environment, we offer Adobe creative cloud for enterprise wherein you can uncheck the creative cloud desktop and use a serial number license workflow to license Adobe CC package.

Thanks,

Ashish

Hi Dimitare,

creative cloud desktop app is mandatory for named license users as we're moving more and more of the essential shared componentry around activation and named user deployment, as well as software and asset acquisition, into Creative Cloud Desktop app.  Making Creative Cloud Desktop app mandatory allows us to streamline the user experience around login, activation, and service access, as we don't need to replicate this work everywhere.  This will be critical, for example, for CC Libraries, CC Assets, AEM Assets, and other core CC capabilities and their integration with the desktop and mobile tools.

hope this answers your query.

Thanks,

Ashish

Hello Ashish,

It looks like you have completely forgotten about managed environments. In such environments users have no rights to change the config of their workstations. Also allowing users to enable file sync to the Adobe cloud is a really bad idea.

So we will continue to removimg the creative cloud after each product installation.

Tmiss his is extremely bad!!!
